Rosie Perez

KimRosie Perez (born Rosa Maria Perez on September 6, 1964) is an American actress choreographer, dancer and activist. Her first role in the role of Tina in Do the Right Thing (1989) was followed by White Men Can't jump (1992). Perez was nominated for the Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress for her role in Fearless (1993). Perez has appeared in a variety of films since the time and has appeared in films such as It Could Happen to You (1994), The Road to El Dorado ((2000), Pineapple Express (2008) and Birds of Prey (2021). She was nominated for three Primetime Emmy Award nominations, one for In Living Color (1990-1994) and another for her character in The Flight Attendant (2020-2021). She has also been in Broadway productions, including The Ritz and Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune and Fish in the Dark. In the 18th season of the show, she also co-hosted on ABC's talk show The View. She graduated from Grover Cleveland High School in Ridgewood, Queens. By 1999 her mother was in poverty at the Woodside Houses, when she died from complications of AIDS.
