
Pichai Sundararajan, better known as Sundar Picha is an Indian-American business executive. He is the chief executive officer (CEO), of Alphabet Inc.'s subsidiary Google. Born in Madurai, India.[4] Pichai graduated from IIT Kharagpur with a degree in metallurgical engineer. He graduated with an M.S. in the United States following his move to the United States. When he moved to America where he completed an M.S. in materials science and engineering from Stanford University. After a brief time at McKinsey and Co. as an executive consultant, Pichai was hired by Google in 2004 to lead the product management and innovation for several of Google's client products. These comprised ChromeOS and ChromeOS. He also managed Google Drive. He also managed the creation of Google Maps and Gmail. Pichai first introduced WebM in 2010 and also announced open-sourcing the latest codec for video VP8 by Google. In 2012 the Chromebook was introduced. Pichai, who was responsible for the launch of Android in 2012, also added Android to his list of Google products.
